The game was much more than just snowboarding.
Much of the work I did consisted of paper design for the park builder as well as the sledding mode in the game. Both of these features were shipped in the final version of the game. The game was open-mountain, and consisted of boarding, a park builder, sledding, snowmobiles and even hang gliding.
Line iteration was key.
Additionally, I worked with level artists on the sculpts of 2 mountains; Northstar and Valle Nevado.
The majority of the low-level work I did was placing terrain and man-made objects on the mountains to give players lines with which to trick within. This consisted of ramps, boxes, rails, halfpipes, trees, snow drifts, rocks and other objects.
In addition I authored camera angles that would be used if the player hit specific jumps. Finally, I assisted the systems designer in the layout and tuning of various challenges in the game.
